Paws4Pinky.com was created in honor of our courageous and fun Pinky who brought so much joy in her life and beyond. Pinky taught us that some of the best lessons in life are also the simplest — enjoy the moment, stay positive, never give up, and lead with kindness. Through her everyday actions, she showed how connection, gratitude, and a good attitude can shape a healthier and more meaningful life.
Pinky and I first met through our backyard fence. For months, we talked through that fence and built a bond that eventually changed both of our lives. She was fed but neglected, and one day when her owners moved away and left her behind, I found her running down the street straight into my arms. From that moment on, we were family.
Pinky loved people, adventure, and being part of the action. Even during COVID, she joined children online for “Storytime with Pinky” and visited schools and places where she quickly became everyone’s friend. She made people smile without saying a word and had a way of helping others slow down and enjoy the little things.
Even while living with a heart condition later in life, Pinky continued to live with energy, determination, and joy. On April 21, 2026, Pinky passed peacefully in my arms with her favorite friend beside her. She left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her and continues to inspire the message behind Paws4Pinky.com.
Paws4Pinky.com is a play on the words paws and pause — a reminder to slow down, appreciate the moment, and focus on what matters most. Through Pinky’s story, we hope to share simple lessons that help children and adults build healthier minds, stronger connections, and more positive lives.
Thanks for pausing for Pinky.
